About
Craven College
Craven College is a further and higher education college based in Skipton, North Yorkshire, which offers a wide range of apprenticeship programmes alongside classroom-based courses. The college delivers apprenticeships across sectors such as agriculture and hospitality, with programmes like the General Farm Worker Apprenticeship and Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship designed to combine paid employment with structured off‑the‑job training. Apprentices typically receive monthly workplace visits from a Learning Development Advisor and around six hours per week of tracked off‑the‑job training, and they build a portfolio of work-based evidence. Craven College emphasises meeting the needs of its largely rural employer base, providing sector-specific training that supports roles from livestock and farm management to front-of-house and service roles in bars, restaurants, hotels and related businesses. In addition to apprenticeships, the college offers school leaver, vocational, T Level, Access to HE, degree, part‑time and distance learning courses, as well as employer-focused services such as apprenticeships for employers, work experience and professional training via its Tyro Training arm. This integrated offer enables both employers and individuals to access flexible workforce development and upskilling routes that lead to nationally recognised qualifications.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
