Commercial disclosure
Find a Training Provider is a business as well as a public resource. This page lists every way it makes money, what each one buys, and what is never for sale, so anyone relying on our data can see the separation for themselves. Last reviewed 2 September 2026.
Never for sale
- A ranking position. Every league table on this site is built from the Department for Education's published achievement data, with the method on the methodology page. No payment, partnership or relationship changes a position, a sort order or who appears.
- A badge. Ranking badges are awarded from the data and are free. They cannot be bought, and a paying provider gets no badge a non-paying provider with the same data would not.
- Verification. Provider-reported results are checked by a person against evidence before they are labelled verified. There is no fee for verification and no fast lane.
- Our editorial view. Guides and comparisons are not written or influenced by any paying party.
What we charge for
Showcase Profile
Providers can pay £99 a year for a Showcase Profile. It adds content to their profile page: case studies, video, a “why choose us” section, a named contact, and the contact details of employers who enquire. It changes nothing about where the provider ranks or appears. Where a paid profile sits inside a comparison table its row carries a “Promoted” tag, which is the disclosure the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 requires. There are currently 2 paying Showcase providers.
Employer introductions
Employers use this site free of charge to find and contact providers. Some employer enquiries that arrive without a provider in mind are passed to a routing partner who follows them up and shares a proportion of any revenue they earn as a result. The partner has no influence over rankings, tables or which providers are shown to employers who choose their own shortlist. Providers whose Showcase treatment is provided free under a partnership are tagged “Site partner” rather than “Promoted”, because no money changed hands. Current site partners: The Growth Company.
Sponsored course slots
Standard pages carry a separate section, “Is an apprenticeship the right route?”, where non-apprenticeship courses can pay for a labelled slot. Each card is marked “Sponsored” with the sponsor's name, links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, and the section is never placed inside or beside a ranking. Sponsors are vetted before anything goes live, and apprenticeship delivery of the standard on that page is never a sponsored placement.
There are no sponsored slots live at the moment.
Consulting
FATP's founder offers paid advisory work to employers and providers. Consulting clients receive no different treatment on this site from anyone else.
