Span Training and Development

Span Training and Development is a government-funded training provider with over 30 years’ experience in vocational training and apprenticeships. Operating primarily across the south of England, they deliver employer- and trainee-focused programmes that are designed and delivered to bespoke specifications for each organisation and learner. Span offers apprenticeships in hairdressing, early years and childcare, business disciplines (such as customer service, business administration and management), and technology, including programmes co‑developed with FileMaker Inc. Their apprenticeships combine on- and off-the-job training, enabling apprentices to gain nationally recognised qualifications while earning a wage and working alongside experienced staff. Span emphasises quality, flexibility and strong customer service, with all processes from recruitment through to qualification achievement underpinned by structured systems and quality assurance. Funded through the Education and Skills Funding Agency and other government streams, they are able to offer low-cost or, in many cases, free training to partner employers and learners in regions including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and bordering counties. In addition to apprenticeship delivery, Span provides support with assessment, coaching, learner progression and achievement data to help employers develop skilled, productive workforces.
