About
Shipley College
Shipley College is a further education college based in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Saltaire, providing education and training for young people and adults across Bradford and the wider West Yorkshire region. The college offers apprenticeships for individuals aged 16 and over, supporting both school leavers and adult learners to gain industry-recognised qualifications while in paid employment. Apprenticeships are available across a range of sectors, including business and administration and health and social care, with delivery designed to help people enter a career, progress in their current role or retrain. Shipley College works closely with employers, councils and other educators as part of the West Yorkshire Local Skills Improvement Plan to align its curriculum with local workforce needs and supply skills for in-demand jobs. For employers, the college provides apprenticeship recruitment, matching suitable candidates to vacancies, and supports existing staff to upskill through apprenticeship routes. Alongside apprenticeships, Shipley College delivers full-time courses for 16–18 year olds, T Levels, adult qualification courses, lifestyle and leisure programmes, distance learning, access to higher education, and teacher training. The college emphasises an inclusive and supportive culture, aiming to provide valuable education and training that leads to employment, strengthens communities and supports economic growth.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
