About
Nottingham College
Nottingham College is a general further and higher education college based in Nottingham, offering a wide range of education and training options from age 14 upwards, including extensive apprenticeship provision. The college promotes apprenticeships as a way to gain nationally recognised qualifications while earning a wage and receiving structured on‑the‑job training. It supports apprentices and employers through a dedicated apprenticeship team that works with local and national businesses to source vacancies and provide careers guidance, application support and interview preparation. Apprenticeships are available across multiple sectors such as business and management, catering, computing and IT, construction, early years and education, electrical, engineering, hairdressing, health and social care, motor vehicle and science, as well as teacher training. Nottingham College also delivers a broad curriculum beyond apprenticeships, including 16–18 study programmes, A Levels, courses for adults (19+), higher education, and options for 14–16 learners. For employers, the college offers services to help recruit apprentices, access grants and funding, understand and use the Apprenticeship Levy, and arrange staff upskilling and mandatory training. Specialist automotive training is provided through Emtec at the Ruddington campus, which delivers sector‑specific programmes for the motor industry.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
