HETA
HETA (Humberside Engineering Training Association) is a not‑for‑profit Group Training Association specialising in engineering and manufacturing training, with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough and Scunthorpe. Established in 1967, HETA delivers Level 3 and Level 4 engineering apprenticeships, higher education programmes and a wide range of standard and bespoke upskilling courses for more than 300 client companies. Their apprenticeship offer covers multiple engineering disciplines, including roles such as engineering technicians, fitters, maintenance and operations technicians, machinists, metal fabricators, welders, installation and maintenance electricians, building services maintenance engineers and engineering manufacturing technicians, as listed on the Department for Education’s Find Apprenticeship Training service. HETA provides employer‑led, off‑the‑job technical training and ongoing workplace monitoring to support apprentices through to end‑point assessment, achieving above‑average completion rates. In addition to apprenticeship delivery, HETA offers adult training and multiskilling for existing engineers, as well as bespoke skills development tailored to employer requirements, helping organisations address skills gaps and develop their engineering workforce across the Humber region and beyond.
