About
North Staffordshire Engineering Group Training Association
North Staffordshire Engineering Group Training Association (NSEG) is a dedicated engineering training organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent, working closely with local engineering companies since 1966. As the largest specialist engineering training provider in the area, it offers a range of technical and vocational programmes designed to meet employer needs and support talent development. Apprenticeships are a core part of NSEG’s provision, enabling learners to earn while they train and develop practical skills for engineering roles across disciplines such as maintenance, fabrication, welding, manufacturing and electrical/electronic engineering. Alongside apprenticeships, NSEG delivers a wide portfolio of engineering and related qualifications, including NVQ Diplomas in engineering operations and maintenance, manufacturing and fabrication, as well as Functional Skills in English, maths and digital skills delivered online, on location, or in the workplace. NSEG’s ACE Academy division focuses on upskilling and employability for adults, particularly unemployed learners seeking to enter or progress within engineering, with programmes aligned to local employer requirements and delivered in industry-standard workshops and classrooms. The organisation also offers health and safety training and supports employers with tailored skills development for their workforce, backed by experienced staff who help source appropriate training and advice.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
