L.I.T.S. Limited is a UK-based technical training provider specialising in engineering and lift industry training, including apprenticeship provision. Established in 1981, it delivers work-based technical training and assessment to a wide client base of around 300 organisations, from self-employed contractors to multinational corporations, using a national network of experienced trainers and assessors. L.I.T.S. manages Engineering Apprenticeship Schemes up to NVQ Level 3, offering an Advanced Apprentice development service that can cover recruitment and selection, induction, coordination of on- and off-the-job training, college progress monitoring, and competence-based assessment. The service can also include support with Functional Skills, advice on government funding, selection of NVQ units, portfolio and evidence preparation, and implementation of NVQ assessment and internal verification. In addition to apprenticeships, L.I.T.S. provides consultancy on training scheme design and operation, NVQ monitoring schemes, consolidation programmes, and NVQ scheme implementation. They also deliver specialist short courses such as Safe Release of Trapped Lift Passengers and EOR/202N Basic Lift Safety, aimed at reducing accidents, improving productivity, and helping employers comply with legal and industry standards.
