Type of training provider
There are four types of training provider:
A National Provider is a training provider that is able to offer apprenticeship training in any location across England. Some national providers might also offer training in the devolved nations, i.e. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
An FE college is a state-funded provider that can offer a broad range of training options in a particular location to a range of employers.
A Specialist Provider is a training provider that is not state-funded and tends to offer training in specialist sectors or locations.
Universities offer training for Degree Apprenticeships or Higher Apprenticeships, sometimes running specialist courses for apprentices on a particular standard.
WBTC has been working with local employers to help their business flourish and grow since 1983. We're not for profit which lets us to take an imaginative approach in supporting our customers.
It's a popular choice for employers to bring young people into the organisation and train them up. Apprentices can be moulded to suit your culture and they often have a strong learning behaviour enabling them to pick up new skills quickly. WBTC will help you by; carefully matching apprentices to your organisation. accessing any grants for you to cover the initial costs of employing an apprentice, organise all of the training/assessment, sort the government funding, provide someone in your organisation with a mentoring course, take care of any paperwork.
