About
West Berkshire Training Consortium (WBTC)
WBTC (West Berkshire Training Consortium) is a registered charity that has been delivering high-quality apprenticeships and training to organisations and young people for over 40 years. They have trained more than 20,000 people across a wide range of occupations and industries, focusing on a personable, tailored approach and one‑to‑one support that contributes to strong achievement and progression rates. WBTC offers three core streams of training. Their apprenticeship programmes span multiple roles and sectors, with an overall achievement rate reported as consistently 20% above the national average. They also provide funded programmes, including the Great Start study programme for 16–18 year olds, which combines a well‑rounded curriculum with employability skills to prepare learners for further study or entry into the workplace. In addition, WBTC delivers commercial training, designing bespoke programmes for employers on specific topics to enhance service quality or organisational performance. Alongside this, they offer adult English and maths functional skills and professional development workshops, supporting both employers and individuals to develop talent and progress in work.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
