Waverley Training Services

Waverley Training Services (WTS) is a dedicated department of Waverley Borough Council that has delivered work-based learning qualifications since 1981. They provide apprenticeships, functional skills and employability skills training across Surrey and the borders of Hampshire, Berkshire and Sussex, with programmes delivered entirely in the workplace. WTS secures funding for its qualifications through the Department for Education but can also provide privately funded training where required. As an approved Apprenticeship Training Provider, listed as a main provider on the Department for Education’s Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register (APAR), WTS delivers its provision directly and does not subcontract any training. The service supports both new apprentices and existing employees, working closely with employers to tailor apprenticeship programmes to specific business needs and address skills shortages. WTS emphasises accurate information, advice and guidance, underpinned by Matrix accreditation, and has been graded ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted. Their stated commitment is to help local employers recruit and develop a qualified, committed and diverse workforce, recognising that a highly skilled workforce is essential for continuous professional development, increased productivity and maintaining a competitive edge in the job market.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
