Wandsworth Lifelong Learning

Wandsworth Borough Council, through its Wandsworth Lifelong Learning (WLL) service, delivers a broad range of adult education and apprenticeship provision aimed at improving residents’ skills, employability and progression. The Lifelong Learning service, part of the Council’s Education Division in the Children’s Services Department, offers apprenticeships for young people and adults alongside extensive adult learning and workforce development. Main areas of work include an extensive programme of non‑accredited community learning, apprenticeships, and accredited courses funded through the Adult Education Budget in subjects such as English, maths, ICT, ESOL, employability and vocational areas. The service supports both employed and unemployed adults with training and employment goals, including work experience and preparation for employment programmes, some of which are ESF‑funded. Wandsworth Lifelong Learning works closely with local employers and partners to align its curriculum to local and London priorities and can, subject to eligibility, support local employers and employees to access funded training. The Council also promotes apprenticeships more widely via its jobs and careers offer and events such as National Apprenticeship Week, and through associated services like Wandsworth Work Match, which helps residents connect with job, traineeship and apprenticeship opportunities across the borough.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
