About
Vision Rehabilitation Training
Vision Rehabilitation Training Ltd is a registered apprenticeship training provider and social business focused on improving the status, quality and accessibility of vision rehabilitation services. The organisation works with people who are vision impaired and with employers to design cost‑effective apprenticeship training programmes that promote problem solving, proactive skill development, diversity and equality. Its main offer is the Vision Rehabilitation Specialist Higher Apprenticeship (standard ST0431), a programme based on the employer‑developed national standard that defines the required knowledge, skills and behaviours for Vision Rehabilitation Specialists and Rehabilitation Workers. The apprenticeship is delivered over 24 months using a blended approach that includes a bespoke online training platform, active learning methods, video‑conferenced teaching, focused face‑to‑face practical training in London and in‑work placement activities spread across the programme. All training staff are qualified and practising Vision Rehabilitation Specialists and/or have lived experience of visual impairment. Vision Rehabilitation Training Ltd was inspected by Ofsted in September 2024 and achieved ‘Good’ grades across all key areas, including apprenticeships. Multiple cohort start points are offered throughout the year, and employers receive structured documentation such as managers’ briefs and ESFA training plans to support their apprentices’ progress.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
