About
University of Wolverhampton
The University of Wolverhampton is a higher education institution based in the West Midlands that delivers a wide range of higher and degree apprenticeships designed for both new recruits and existing employees. Apprenticeships are offered across disciplines such as teaching, engineering, health and social care, leadership and management, and public services, with specific programmes including occupational therapy, civil and transportation engineering, building control surveying, nursing, midwifery, social work and postgraduate teaching apprenticeships. Apprentices spend most of their time in the workplace while completing structured academic study with access to the University’s facilities; programmes typically last from one to six years, with tuition costs funded by employers and government rather than individual apprentices. The University’s Apprenticeship Hub provides a single point of contact for employers, apprentices and parents, offering guidance on programme selection, recruitment of apprentices, funding (including levy and non-levy routes) and ongoing skills coaching throughout the apprenticeship. In addition, the University runs a free Aspiring Apprentices Programme to help employees and school or college leavers build the skills and confidence needed to progress into higher and degree apprenticeships, supporting career development and workforce upskilling in the region and beyond. Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
