About
UWE Bristol
UWE Bristol (University of the West of England) is a public university offering higher and degree apprenticeships that combine on‑the‑job training with academic study, enabling employees to gain Level 5–7 qualifications (Foundation, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees) while working. Its apprenticeships are designed with employers to address skills shortages, retain and develop talent, and promote inclusion and diversity, with clear progression routes from technician to professional and postgraduate levels. UWE Bristol works with a wide range of public and private sector employers and supports both Apprenticeship Levy payers and SMEs with guidance on funding and programme design. Apprentices typically spend at least six hours per week in off‑the‑job training, delivered through day release, block release or blended learning, alongside workplace mentoring. The university’s Apprenticeship Hub provides dedicated support for employers and apprentices across the full lifecycle, from initial enquiry and funding advice to application, delivery and review. In addition to apprenticeships, UWE Bristol offers over 600 undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and short courses, alongside professional short courses and upskilling initiatives such as the Skills Pathway Programme, which delivers flexible, modular training for workers in sectors including construction, manufacturing, engineering and legal services.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
