About
University of Suffolk
The University of Suffolk delivers Higher and Degree Apprenticeships designed in collaboration with employers to combine academic study with work-based learning. Operating as a small–medium sized apprenticeship provider, it has been delivering apprenticeships since 2017 and reports a strong overall achievement rate, with the vast majority of apprentices remaining in employment on completion. Its apprenticeship offer spans health, sciences and society, including programmes such as Assistant Practitioner, Nursing Associate, Registered Nurse (Adult and Mental Health) and Social Worker, with new Level 6 apprenticeships in areas like project management, construction, environmental practice and data science being developed. Apprentices typically spend at least six hours per week in off‑the‑job training, blending university teaching with employer-based learning, and all programmes include End Point Assessment to confirm occupational competence. The dedicated Apprenticeship Hub and Business Engagement teams support employers with levy use, recruitment, compliance and aligning apprenticeships to workforce needs. In addition to apprenticeships, the University also offers wider professional development, CPD and short courses, and leadership and management training through its business-facing provision.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
