Plymouth Marjon University

About
Plymouth Marjon University
Plymouth Marjon University delivers higher and degree apprenticeships that enable apprentices to earn while they learn through a blend of workplace employment and university-based study. The university currently offers higher level apprenticeships at Levels 4 and 5, typically aligned to foundation degrees, and degree apprenticeships at Levels 6 and 7, which are equivalent to bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Apprentices are employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week, spend at least 20% of their working time in off‑the‑job study, and are supported by both a workplace mentor and a dedicated course tutor, alongside Marjon’s subject teams. Apprenticeships are funded through government and employer contributions, so learners do not pay tuition fees. Marjon’s apprenticeship portfolio includes the BA Youth Work Integrated Degree Apprenticeship, the Higher Level Apprenticeship Assistant Practitioner and the Higher Level Apprenticeship Nursing Associate, each designed to develop role-specific skills and knowledge linked to real work experience. More broadly, Plymouth Marjon University offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, distance learning routes, teacher training, and short courses, all underpinned by strong employer links, embedded work placements and a curriculum framework focused on developing graduate-level skills such as presenting, job applications and interview preparation.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
