University of Salford

About
University of Salford
The University of Salford, Manchester delivers a substantial portfolio of higher and degree apprenticeships designed to combine university-level study with employment. Apprentices typically spend 80% of their time in the workplace and 20% at the university, with delivery modes including day-release, block delivery and online learning, depending on the programme. The university works with employers across sectors such as science, engineering, construction, health and society, offering apprenticeship routes that lead to recognised qualifications, including registered nurse and enhanced clinical practitioner programmes. An Apprenticeship Services Unit supports employers and apprentices throughout recruitment, funding and application processes, providing guidance on levy use and programme choice. Salford has secured significant Office for Students funding to expand and diversify its apprenticeship provision, with over 1,700 apprentices projected by September 2024, and runs annual Apprenticeship Awards to recognise apprentice and employer achievements. Alongside apprenticeships, the University of Salford offers a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees, as well as bespoke training and professional development options for businesses.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
