About
University of Plymouth
The University of Plymouth is a UK higher education institution that delivers a wide range of higher and degree apprenticeships alongside its broader portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate, professional development and research-led programmes. Its higher and degree apprenticeships are work-based qualifications at levels 5, 6 and 7, enabling apprentices to achieve foundation, bachelor’s or master’s degrees while employed. Programmes are designed with employers to address skills gaps, improve staff retention and support succession planning, with provision currently focused on business and administration (including leadership and management), engineering and manufacturing, health and medical and digital sectors. Apprentices typically work full time and study part time, spending at least six hours of their contracted hours in off-the-job training, delivered through university attendance or online learning. The University emphasises an industry-led, consultative approach, tailoring learning to specific job roles and business needs and supporting employers with apprenticeship levy and other funding options. Its apprenticeship provision is funded and regulated through the Education and Skills Funding Agency, aligned to national apprenticeship standards, inspected by Ofsted, and underpinned by the University’s wider reputation for high-quality teaching, research and professional education.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
