About
Northumbria University
Northumbria University is a research-intensive university that also acts as a leading provider of higher and degree apprenticeships, combining academic study with work-based learning for new recruits and existing employees. Its growing apprenticeship portfolio spans multiple sectors, including education, financial and legal services, health, sport and social care, and leadership and management, enabling employers to develop and retain staff while apprentices gain full degree or degree-level qualifications. Apprenticeships are delivered through blended approaches, including on-campus and online learning, and are supported by structured onboarding and enrolment processes, welcome guides, and access to student services such as careers support and the Students’ Union. In addition to apprenticeships, Northumbria offers a broad range of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development (CPD) programmes, as well as short courses and specialist training, for example in counter fraud investigations and healthcare-related skills. Employers can work with the Business Development Team to plan workforce upskilling and to navigate fees, funding and the apprenticeship levy, with upcoming programmes being developed in partnership with industry to meet regional and national skills needs.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
