About
University of Northampton
The University of Northampton delivers higher and degree apprenticeships that combine university-level study with work-based learning, enabling apprentices to gain a recognised qualification while earning a full-time salary and building workplace experience. Its apprenticeship offer is designed with employers to address high-level skills gaps and to blend academic and vocational learning. Apprentices typically work at least 30 hours per week in a relevant role, supported by workplace mentors and university tutors, with flexible delivery models such as day-release, block teaching and online learning to fit around business needs. Programmes are funded through the Apprenticeship Levy or co-funded with government for non-levy payers, meaning there are no tuition fees for the apprentice. The University works closely with employers to identify appropriate apprenticeship standards, manage contractual and funding requirements, and support recruitment or upskilling of existing staff. Apprentices have access to the University’s wider student support services, including academic support, wellbeing and careers guidance, as well as learning resources and digital platforms that underpin its student-centred teaching approach. This makes the University of Northampton a provider focused on integrating professional development with accredited higher education for both new entrants and existing employees seeking to upskill.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
