About
University of Hertfordshire
The University of Hertfordshire (Herts) delivers degree apprenticeships and professional skills training in close partnership with over 250 private and public sector employers. Its apprenticeship programmes are designed with industry experts to provide up‑to‑date vocational skills that help organisations attract new talent and upskill existing staff, with funding typically via the apprenticeship levy or levy transfer. Employers are supported by a dedicated account manager throughout the apprenticeship lifecycle, from drafting job descriptions and advertising vacancies to shortlisting candidates, onboarding and supporting learners through to end‑point assessment. Herts’ apprenticeship provision has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted across quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management, giving assurance of teaching quality and learner support. The university offers 12 established apprenticeship programmes aligned to priority sectors in the regional economy, including health and social care, engineering, and leadership and management, with a growing portfolio of additional programmes. Apprentices benefit from specialist tutors, high‑quality physical and digital resources, and inclusive learning environments. In addition to apprenticeships, Herts provides a wider range of professional development opportunities, short courses and CPD for employers seeking to develop their workforce.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
