About
USP College
USP College is a further education college in Essex offering a broad mix of career-focused education and training, including A-Levels, T-Levels, vocational programmes such as BTECs and UALs, and higher education options. Formed in 2017 from the merger of Seevic College in Benfleet and Palmer’s College in Grays, its history stretches back to 1706 through Palmer’s original charity school, with the Seevic campus opening in 1972 as a sixth form college. The college has since expanded with the XTEND Digital Campus in Canvey Island, opened in 2021 to support its focus on digital innovation and extended reality. USP College emphasises preparing learners for high-end careers through clearly defined career pathways, employer engagement and work-ready skills development. Learners benefit from industry-informed teaching, regular continuous professional development opportunities and access to modern facilities, including immersive digital environments. Alongside mainstream programmes, the college provides foundation learning, supported internships, adult learning and progression routes into apprenticeships or employment, with a track record of students moving on to university, further study or the workplace. This mix of academic, technical and work-based learning is designed to support both young people and adults to progress into skilled roles.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
