About
University of Westminster
The University of Westminster offers a portfolio of higher and degree apprenticeships designed to combine academic study with paid employment for new and existing staff. Apprentices are employed in full-time roles while studying towards university qualifications through a structured mix of on‑ and off‑the‑job training, typically including at least six hours per week of dedicated learning. Programmes are available from Level 4 to Level 7 in sectors such as construction, healthcare and town planning, with some pathways leading to professional accreditation or chartered status. Current standards include Construction Quantity Surveying Technician, Construction Quantity Surveyor, Healthcare Science Practitioner, Biomedical Scientist and a Chartered Town Planner apprenticeship linked to an MA in Urban and Regional Planning. The University works in partnership with employers across England, including NHS Trusts and private laboratories, and can support levy-paying and non‑levy employers with funding guidance, recruitment support and vacancy promotion. Alongside apprenticeships, Westminster delivers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and short courses across disciplines from business and management to computer science, creative industries and more, and maintains strong links with over 180 industry partners who offer placements and work experience to students.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
