About
University of Hull
The University of Hull is a higher education institution that delivers higher and degree apprenticeships designed for employers who want to develop and retain skilled staff, and for individuals who want to earn while they learn. Its apprenticeship offer currently focuses on programmes from Level 5 upwards, with a particular specialism in Health and Social Care, including routes such as Nursing Associate, Social Work, Operating Department Practice and Postgraduate Engineer apprenticeships. Apprenticeships combine paid employment with structured academic study, using a blend of campus-based teaching, clinical or workplace placements, portfolio building and self-directed learning. The University works closely with employers to co-design programmes, align training to workforce strategies and ensure that curricula are directly relevant to the apprentice’s role. Apprenticeship funding can be drawn from the Apprenticeship Levy for larger employers, while smaller organisations typically access 95% government co-funding, making programmes a cost-effective development tool. Ofsted rated the University’s apprenticeship provision “Good” across all areas in March 2024, and apprentices receive targeted support throughout their journey, including additional learning support where needed and careers guidance. Employers and prospective apprentices can access advice via the University’s apprenticeships team to explore options and funding.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
