About
Oldham College
Oldham College is Oldham’s specialist provider of work-related education and training, working with young people, adults and employers to deliver skills for the local and wider economy. Its programmes span full and part-time vocational courses, T Levels, apprenticeships and higher education pathways delivered through University Campus Oldham. Apprenticeships are offered alongside classroom learning, typically combining on-the-job experience with one day a week at college, and are available across areas such as education and childcare, construction, health and social care, business and other technical and professional fields. Courses are designed in partnership with employers, supported by Employer Advisory Boards, industry placements and extensive work-experience opportunities to ensure training is responsive to sector needs and helps learners progress into sustained employment or further study. The college promotes progression for those looking to start a career, upskill or retrain, including adults returning to learning, and provides dedicated guidance through its admissions and apprenticeship teams. Its mission is to help learners unlock their potential and prepare for the world of work through industry-standard facilities, experienced tutors and strong employer links.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
