About
Northumberland Skills
Northumberland Skills delivers apprenticeship and skills training on behalf of Northumberland County Council, offering full‑time and part‑time programmes for young people and adults across the county. Through its dedicated apprenticeship training programmes, it supports learners to earn while they learn and gain industry-relevant qualifications in areas such as business administration, catering, childcare, welding, health and social care and other vocational sectors, as outlined in its apprenticeship leaflets. The organisation also provides full‑time study programmes for school leavers aged 16–18, part‑time flexible courses for adults wishing to boost their confidence and professional abilities, and targeted employability and work‑support programmes to help individuals move into, or sustain, employment. For employers, Northumberland Skills offers tailored training solutions to upskill existing staff and develop workforce capabilities, alongside apprenticeship routes for new recruits. Provision is supported by open events, free tasters and campus-based information sessions, backed up by advice via email and telephone. Northumberland Skills states that it delivers these programmes on behalf of Northumberland County Council, based at County Hall, Morpeth, Northumberland.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
