About
Premier League
The Premier League is the organising body of the top-tier English football competition and is responsible for the league’s rule book, competition structure, and centralised broadcast and commercial rights. In addition to running the competition, it invests significantly in youth development, education and community programmes delivered in partnership with its member clubs. Through the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP), the Premier League oversees a world-leading Academy system that supports players from Under-9 to Under-23, with a strong emphasis on technical development, education and welfare. The League’s Education Department delivers formal education programmes for all apprentices aged 16–19 who have signed full-time scholarship agreements at Premier League clubs, and its curriculum and apprenticeship provision have received repeated ‘Outstanding’ ratings from Ofsted. The Premier League also develops coaches and support staff through initiatives such as the Elite Coach Apprenticeship Scheme, and delivers personal development and employability-focused programmes for young people in schools and communities, including Premier League Inspires. Overall, the organisation provides structured pathways for young players and coaches, combining high-level football training with education, life skills and safeguarding support to help participants progress in football and beyond.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
