Yorkshire and Humber Teacher Training

About
Yorkshire and Humber Teacher Training
Yorkshire and Humber Teacher Training (YHTT) provides a range of education and workforce development programmes for schools and colleges across the Yorkshire and Humber region. In addition to initial teacher training, YHTT is a registered apprenticeship provider delivering workplace-based training for teachers and school support staff, enabling employees to gain nationally recognised qualifications while remaining in post. The organisation offers subject knowledge enhancement (SKE) courses delivered 100% online through interactive video lectures and classroom-based examples, designed to strengthen subject expertise prior to or alongside teacher training. YHTT also delivers Youth Mental Health First Aid courses accredited by Mental Health First Aid England, supporting schools to build mental health capacity. Through the Blueprint Alliance, YHTT facilitates specialist and leadership National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) in partnership with Best Practice Network, giving leaders access to local, face‑to‑face training. Their provision is further complemented by delivery linked to the Early Career Framework (ECF), supporting early career teachers with structured induction and development. Together, these programmes provide a pathway from pre‑service subject development through to early career support and leadership training for the education workforce.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
