The College of Animal Welfare

About
The College of Animal Welfare
The College of Animal Welfare is a specialist training provider focusing on animal-related and business apprenticeships and qualifications. Established in 1989, the college offers apprenticeship training that enables employers to recruit new talent or upskill existing staff in areas such as animal care, dog grooming, equine care, veterinary care, veterinary nursing and a range of business disciplines through the CAW Business School. Apprenticeships are work-based, with no routine college attendance required; assessors visit the workplace at mutually convenient times and provide ongoing email and telephone support. The College works closely with employers to help recruit, screen and shortlist apprenticeship candidates free of charge and supports apprentices to start at any time of year. Alongside apprenticeships, the college delivers professionally recognised certificates, diplomas and degree-level programmes, as well as online and distance learning options and CPD events, allowing flexible study around work. Training is delivered from multiple centres across the UK and online, and the college is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and holds Matrix accreditation for information, advice and guidance, reflecting a focus on quality, learner support and professional standards in animal welfare and related business roles.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
