The City of Liverpool College is a leading education provider for around 12,000 students aged 16 and over across the Liverpool City Region, offering both academic and vocational routes from GCSE through to degree level. Its apprenticeship provision spans Levels 2 to 4 and is delivered in partnership with more than 1,000 employers across Merseyside and beyond, enabling apprentices to earn while they learn through a combination of on-the-job training and college-based study in industry-standard workshops and purpose-built facilities. Apprentices are supported throughout their programmes by college tutors and industry-experienced skills coaches, many of whom began their own careers as apprentices. The college’s wider offer includes full-time study for 16–18 year-olds, adult learning, Access to HE programmes and higher education through its University Centre, alongside provision across specialist areas such as construction and building, engineering and logistics, digital, health and social care, hair and beauty, catering and hospitality, expressive arts and media, sport and public services, travel and tourism, ESOL and teacher training. Underpinned by a mission to provide high-quality skills and education for people and businesses in the Liverpool City Region, the college works closely with employers to align its curriculum with labour market needs and to help students progress into sustainable employment.
