About
University of Staffordshire
University of Staffordshire is a large provider of higher and degree apprenticeships, underpinned by strong links with employers and industry bodies. The university reports that, in the past year, over 3,000 apprentices have completed a full degree while employed in paid full-time roles, with tuition fees funded by their employers. Apprentices can study a wide range of programmes from undergraduate diplomas and bachelor’s degrees through to postgraduate master’s degrees, all delivered through work-based learning that combines on-the-job training with academic study. Apprenticeship pathways include careers such as chartered manager, senior leader, technical specialist, biomedical scientist, teacher, nurse, social worker and police constable, with courses offered across digital, business and administration, education and care, health and science, manufacturing and engineering, and protective services. The provision is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (January 2022), and the university states it is among the top five largest apprenticeship providers in the UK. Programmes are taught by sector experts using industry-leading facilities, including clinical simulation and technical training environments. Alongside apprenticeships, the university offers a broader portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate, short courses and CPD, and professional training and development opportunities to support workforce upskilling and regional business growth.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
