Southport College

Southport College is a centre of technical excellence and a leading provider of vocational and technical education in the Southport area, offering expert apprenticeship training alongside full‑time and part‑time study options. The college delivers more than 30 apprenticeship routes from Level 2 to Level 5 across a wide range of sectors, with programmes available at intermediate, advanced and higher levels. Apprenticeships are designed to combine work with study so that apprentices develop job‑specific skills, with many programmes tailored to individual job roles and delivered in partnership with local employers. The Employer Partnerships Team specialises in apprenticeship delivery and can support businesses with recruitment, bespoke training design and keeping staff up to date with industry and legislative requirements. In addition to apprenticeships, Southport College offers vocational courses for 16–18 year olds, a broad programme of part‑time and professional courses for adults from Level 1 to Level 3, Access to Higher Education courses and short courses, including free customer service and sector‑specific training. Teaching takes place in industry‑standard facilities such as technical workshops, science labs, hospitality and hair and beauty training environments, and learners benefit from strong employer links, work placements and dedicated support services.
