South West Construction Academy
South West Construction Academy is a specialist training provider based in Bristol offering apprenticeships and technical training in plumbing, gas and electrical trades. The academy delivers Gas Engineering, Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician, Domestic Electrician, Installation and Maintenance Electrician, Low Carbon Heating Technician and Smart Home Technician apprenticeships. These programmes are available for both new recruits and existing employees, with delivery designed around real workplace activities and supported by experienced, fully qualified trade tutors. The provider operates purpose-built workshops and an End Point Assessment centre, and is selected by On Site Bristol (Bristol City Council) as the training provider for gas and electrical apprentices. In addition to apprenticeships, South West Construction Academy offers a range of short courses and qualifications, including the EAL Award in Fundamental Level 2 Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification, EAL Level 3 Inspection, Testing and Periodic courses, BPEC Level 3 Electrical Energy Storage Systems, 18th Edition, Low Temperature Hot Water Heating Systems and Air Source Heat Pump training. Courses are funded by the Department for Education, with start dates and further information available directly from the academy’s team.
