About
SIGTA
SIGTA is a not‑for‑profit training organisation with charitable status that specialises in apprenticeships, short courses and work‑based qualifications for industry. Based in Portslade near Brighton, it provides technical and business apprenticeships, including advanced and higher level programmes, typically delivered through in‑work training with day‑release to SIGTA training facilities. SIGTA supports employers with recruitment and selection of apprentices, comprehensive management of apprenticeship programmes and assessment of work to nationally recognised standards. For existing staff, SIGTA delivers National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) that recognise individuals’ skills in the workplace, with training officers supporting employees to achieve nationally recognised qualifications. The organisation also offers a range of short training courses delivered by fully qualified tutors, either at SIGTA’s training centre or onsite at an employer’s premises where suitable facilities are available. Courses are certificated, and feedback is collected from delegates to maintain quality. Alongside direct delivery, SIGTA works with schools, youth organisations and local employers to promote apprenticeships and increase participation, and has delivered both national and international training projects.(sigta.co.uk)
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
