About
Sheffield Hallam University
Sheffield Hallam University delivers a substantial portfolio of higher and degree apprenticeships designed for both new recruits and existing employees. The university is home to the National Centre of Excellence for Degree Apprenticeships and is a partner of the South Yorkshire Institute of Technology, and is described as the UK’s second largest higher education provider of higher and degree apprenticeships. Its apprenticeship offer covers a wide range of professional disciplines, with programmes co‑designed with employers to develop specialist skills while apprentices work and study. Sheffield Hallam’s apprenticeship provision has been recognised through the Educate North 2024 Apprenticeship Award and the Training Provider / Programme of the Year award at the South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024. Ofsted rated its apprenticeship courses ‘Good’ in 2022, and the Teaching Excellence Framework awarded the university Gold for teaching and career support in 2023. For employers, the university provides end‑to‑end support to employ or upskill apprentices and access funded degree apprenticeships, alongside wider business services. These include professional development and CPD courses, leadership and MBA programmes, and tailored business support for start‑ups, SMEs and large organisations, giving organisations multiple routes to develop workforce capability alongside apprenticeship pathways.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
