About
CDC Training
CDC Training is an apprenticeship centre owned by Sheffield City Council, providing apprenticeship training for a wide range of employers across the Sheffield City Region and delivering all of the Council’s apprenticeship programmes. The centre’s apprenticeship offer is aligned to the Council’s Corporate Plan, with a focus on supporting thriving neighbourhoods, tackling inequalities and boosting the local economy. CDC Training supports young people seeking apprenticeships by recommending suitable vacancies, helping them to write CVs and offering short employability courses with work experience that lead to guaranteed interviews. The refurbished training centre on Cricket Inn Road includes bright classrooms with IT equipment and interactive whiteboards, along with specialist workshops for bricklaying, painting, roofing and carpentry. Through the Council’s Lifelong Learning Apprenticeships service, employers receive a wraparound service that includes a knowledgeable account manager, recruitment support, bespoke training tailored to business needs, flexible delivery in the workplace or via day release, and regular reviews and ongoing support throughout the apprenticeship. Employers are also supported to access government apprenticeship grants and navigate the Digital Apprenticeship Service, while apprentices work towards recognised qualifications.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
