About
SeaRegs Training
SeaRegs Training is a maritime training and consultancy provider offering a broad range of accredited commercial marine courses and apprenticeships. Formed in 2010, the organisation operates from a purpose-built training centre at Turnchapel Wharf in Plymouth, featuring a dedicated navigation simulation room for ECDIS and radar training, as well as a workshop for engineering and seamanship, supporting both practical and shore-based learning. SeaRegs delivers over 60 courses accredited by the RYA, MCA, Highfield and the Nautical Institute, covering progression routes from port operative through to superyacht deckhand, boat master, yacht skipper and instructor training. Alongside short courses, SeaRegs works closely with employers to deliver marine apprenticeships that enable apprentices to work, earn and learn, with pathways such as Boatmaster, Port Operative and Small Commercial Vessel Crewmember training signposted on their site. Training is delivered by experienced and approachable instructors, and the organisation emphasises engaging course design and real-world application, combining classroom, simulator and on-water training using its fleet of training vessels.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
