Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is a large teaching NHS organisation that uses apprenticeships as a key route to develop a talented and skilled workforce. The Trust is an apprenticeship education provider with an ESFA contract and delivers Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeships in areas such as Team Leader, Customer Service, Practitioner, Business Administrator, Healthcare Support Worker and Senior Healthcare Support Worker through its in‑house apprenticeship team. Apprenticeships combine workplace learning with off‑the‑job training, assessment and pastoral support from the Trust’s training staff, mentors and managers, leading to nationally accredited apprenticeship qualifications.
