About
River Learning Trust
River Learning Trust (RLT) is a multi‑academy trust and education provider based in Oxfordshire, responsible for a network of primary, secondary and alternative provision schools across Oxfordshire and Swindon, alongside a school‑centred initial teacher training (SCITT) provider and a teaching school hub. The trust’s SCITT, Oxfordshire Teacher Training (OTT), is RLT’s accredited provider of school‑centred initial teacher training across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire and has trained hundreds of early career teachers since 2013, with Ofsted grading the provision outstanding in all areas in both 2017 and 2023. RLT’s schools and training activities are united by shared principles and a commitment to working together to achieve excellence in education. For employers and individuals, this means access to high‑quality, school‑based training routes into teaching, delivered in partnership with a large family of schools and supported by central expertise in curriculum, quality assurance and professional development. Through its multi‑academy trust structure and SCITT, RLT offers structured pathways for developing teachers and education professionals at different stages of their careers, with many graduates progressing into leadership and senior roles in local schools.(gillotts.org.uk)
