About
Ripley ITT
Ripley ITT is an initial teacher training provider based at Ripley St Thomas CE Academy in Lancaster and is part of The Bay Learning Trust. It delivers primary and secondary teacher training across the North West through a range of school‑centred routes. Apprenticeship provision includes a Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship for those already employed in schools, offered across primary and secondary phases, with a specialist primary apprenticeship route focused on SEND for staff working in specialist settings. Apprentices continue to be employed and paid by their sponsoring school while training, with apprenticeship training costs funded through the Apprenticeship Levy. Ripley ITT also offers provider‑led SCITT programmes (primary and secondary) combining school‑based placements with centre‑based training, an Assessment Only route to achieve Qualified Teacher Status for experienced unqualified teachers, and QTS with PGCE options. Tuition fees and course costs vary by route, with apprenticeships levy‑funded and other programmes charged on a published fee basis. In addition, Ripley ITT acts as Regional Delivery Lead for the National Society for Education’s Flourishing ECTs and Flourishing Leaders programmes, providing development for early career teachers and school leaders. All programmes are underpinned by an Ofsted‑rated ‘Outstanding’ ITE curriculum designed to develop resilient, reflective and effective classroom practitioners.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
