About
Petroc
Petroc is a further and higher education college in Devon offering an extensive apprenticeship portfolio designed to develop industry-specific skills through a mix of workplace learning and college-based training. The college works with over 400 local employers and supports more than 1,000 apprentices across sectors such as marketing, health and social care, IT, construction, engineering and nursing, providing programmes from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) up to Level 7 (degree level). Apprenticeships are available for new recruits or existing staff, with at least 20% of time dedicated to off-the-job training and programme durations typically ranging from one to four years. Petroc supports employers with recruitment, screening and shortlisting of candidates, shaping apprenticeship programmes, advising on funding and levy usage, and managing apprenticeship administration throughout the lifecycle of the training. In addition to apprenticeships, Petroc offers essential skills (Maths, English and ESOL), a wide range of further education courses and higher education provision, including higher and degree-level apprenticeships, to help organisations upskill their workforce and individuals progress in their careers.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
