About
Peterborough Skills Academy
Peterborough Skills Academy is a qualifications training centre specialising in industry-leading automotive and business-related training, with a strong focus on apprenticeships. The Academy delivers apprenticeships that combine paid employment with structured, off-the-job training, helping learners gain nationally recognised qualifications while working alongside experienced staff. Apprenticeship pathways include Business Administrator (Level 3), Customer Service Practitioner (Level 2), Customer Service Specialist (Level 3), and several automotive standards such as Vehicle Damage Paint Technician, Vehicle Damage (MET) Technician, Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle), and Vehicle Damage Panel Technician, many of which are accredited by IMI or NCFE. Programmes typically range from 12 to 36 months and are open to new recruits or existing employees aged 16 and over. Beyond apprenticeships, Peterborough Skills Academy offers functional skills, professional development and accreditations, and stand-alone courses to support ongoing upskilling in the motor industry. The provider works closely with employers across the region to tailor training to business needs, support recruitment or upskilling, and access government funding, while offering flexible, supportive teaching that emphasises real-world skills, confidence and progression for both individuals and employer workforces.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
