About
Nottinghamshire Training Group
Nottinghamshire Training Group (NTG) is a work-based learning provider established in 1987, offering apprenticeships and other vocational training for post‑16 learners across Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. NTG delivers apprenticeships that combine off‑the‑job teaching with workplace learning, typically over 12–24 months, at levels equivalent to GCSEs (Level 2) and A levels (Level 3). Programmes are aligned to apprenticeship frameworks and standards and include competence-based learning, technical certificates, functional skills in areas such as IT, communication and numeracy, and coverage of employment rights, responsibilities and personal learning skills. Apprenticeships are available in sectors including barbering, beauty therapy, business administration, customer services, childcare and early years, hairdressing, social care and supporting teaching and learning in schools. NTG works with employers to plan learning, review progress and support apprentices in the workplace, assigning industry-qualified tutors and providing pastoral support to help young people transition into employment. In addition to apprenticeships, NTG offers further education courses for school leavers, core skills provision, and online courses in health and safety, business skills and health and social care, supporting both new recruits and existing staff to gain recognised qualifications and upskill.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
