About
North Kent College
North Kent College is a further and higher education college offering a wide range of post‑16 education and training options, including apprenticeships, commercial courses, adult learning and higher education programmes. Through its campuses at Dartford, Gravesend, Tonbridge and Hadlow (part of NKC), the college provides technical and professional training for school leavers, adults and existing employees, with strong links to local employers and the community to support diverse progression routes into work or further study. Apprenticeships at North Kent College combine employment with structured off‑the‑job training, typically delivered one day per week at college or in the workplace, with at least 20% of working hours dedicated to learning. Apprenticeships are available from Level 2 to higher levels in areas such as business administration, engineering, hairdressing, motor vehicle and maritime occupations, as well as specialist maritime apprenticeships delivered through the National Maritime Training Centre. The college also advertises live apprenticeship vacancies in partnership with employers and supports both new recruits and existing staff to upskill, including for levy‑paying organisations. In addition to apprenticeships, North Kent College offers full‑time study programmes for 16–18s, access and higher education, part‑time and commercial training, and employer‑focused provision through its Corporate Hub, underpinned by learner support, careers guidance and active student life.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
