About
Community Learning MK
Community Learning MK is the adult and community learning service of Milton Keynes City Council, providing apprenticeships, community learning and education programmes for adults and young people. Through its Adult Education offer, it delivers free GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications in English and maths, a wide range of ESOL courses from Entry 1 to Level 2, and employability programmes covering CV writing, interview techniques, business skills, health and social care, childcare and volunteering. Courses are mainly aimed at learners aged 19 and over, with many free or subsidised depending on funding eligibility. The service also offers digital skills provision from beginner IT through to Level 2 ICT qualifications, health and wellbeing courses focused on developing coping strategies, and family learning courses delivered in schools and community settings to support parents’ and children’s learning together. Supported employment courses are available for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, including City & Guilds Entry 3 Employability programmes and follow‑on courses that build workplace and social skills. Community Learning MK also provides wider youth advice and employment support through its hub structure, helping residents progress into further learning and work opportunities.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
