About
Medway Council
Medway Council delivers apprenticeship opportunities through its Medway Council Apprenticeship Academy, combining paid employment with nationally recognised qualifications from intermediate (Level 2) through to higher and degree levels (Levels 6 and 7). The council offers a broad portfolio of apprenticeship standards including business administration, leadership and management, customer service, housing, health and social care, human resources, IT application specialist, facilities management, public service operational delivery officer, professional accountancy, paralegal, chartered legal executive, chartered building surveyor, social worker and occupational therapist, as well as leisure-focused roles such as leisure team member, leisure duty manager and personal trainer. Apprentices are employed in a range of council services and receive structured on-the-job training, college-based learning where required, and support to build a portfolio and complete end-point assessment. The Apprenticeship Academy provides regular monitoring and quality assurance of apprenticeship qualifications in partnership with external training providers, along with forums and personal development programmes. Medway Council also supports local employers through its Medway Apprenticeship Advice Service and wider skills and employment activities, helping businesses to offer apprenticeships, access funding and upskill their workforce with practical, work-based learning routes aligned to local skills needs. Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
