About
The Hair Academy
The Hair Academy is a City & Guilds approved training centre that has been delivering hairdressing education since 1992. It offers National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in hairdressing, delivered in a modern, fully equipped salon environment where learners gain experience working with real clients to create both fashion-forward and classic styles using professional, L’Oréal-supported products. Apprentices and other learners work in small groups to ensure personal attention, dedicated support and rigorous assessment, with a strong focus on helping each individual exceed their perceived potential. The Academy operates a flexible, year‑round enrolment model (excluding December), allowing learners to start their programme at any time. Alongside apprenticeships, the provider offers traineeships that combine employability skills, English and maths, CV writing and salon work experience, as well as a schools programme delivering vocational hair and beauty training from age 14, including City & Guilds‑approved technical awards. These pathways are designed to equip young people and salon staff with the skills, knowledge and motivation required to progress into hairdressing apprenticeships, employment or further qualifications in the hair and beauty sector.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
