Makers
Makers is a UK-based tech education and apprenticeship provider that focuses on building AI-confident tech teams and helping people pivot into technology careers. It delivers government-funded apprenticeships at Levels 3–5, including AI Essentials (L3 Digital Support Technician), Software Engineer (L4 Software Developer), Transformative Digital Leader (L5 Operations Manager) and Data Engineer (L5 Data Engineer). These programmes are designed to deepen digital and data capabilities in existing staff and develop new talent, combining front-loaded bootcamp-style training or block release with extended workplace application and an end-point assessment. Makers reports high achievement and progression outcomes, with an emphasis on quality, inclusivity and employer impact, and has over a decade’s experience training thousands of learners and working with major employers. Alongside apprenticeships, Makers offers coding bootcamps in software engineering, data engineering, quality engineering and cloud engineering, as well as broader upskilling offers such as AI and Data Academies, a Leadership Lab, and other workforce development programmes. Its curricula are developed in-house by former engineers and integrate both technical skills and resilience or emotional intelligence training to prepare learners to contribute quickly in real-world tech roles.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
