About
Leeds College of Building
Leeds College of Building (LCB) is the UK’s only specialist further education college focused solely on construction and the built environment, with an ambition to be recognised as the country’s leading provider of construction education. LCB offers a wide range of apprenticeship programmes from Level 2 to Level 6, enabling learners to combine employment with structured training delivered either one day per week or in block-release formats to suit employer needs. Apprenticeships span construction crafts, building services, engineering, civil engineering, site supervision and higher-level professional disciplines, with programmes designed around current industry standards and employer requirements. The college attracts apprentices from across the UK and delivers training in specialist workshops and high-tech digital suites that replicate real industry environments, supported by tutors with substantial sector experience. Alongside apprenticeships, LCB provides full-time courses for school leavers, higher education degrees, and adult and part‑time courses for those looking to retrain or upskill in construction-related roles. The college works closely with employers, local communities and industry partners to address skills gaps and support economic growth, positioning its training as a direct pathway into sustainable careers in construction and the built environment.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
