About
Kirklees college
Kirklees College is a further education college in West Yorkshire that delivers a wide range of apprenticeship and vocational training for both new entrants and existing employees. Its apprenticeship programmes are developed in collaboration with employer partners to reflect current industry needs, combining work-based learning with structured off‑the‑job training that leads to nationally recognised qualifications. The college offers apprenticeships from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) through Level 3 (A level) up to Levels 4–5 (foundation degree level), typically lasting between 12 and 48 months depending on sector and level. Apprentices usually work full time and attend college for part of their week or in block release to complete the required minimum off‑the‑job training, with options to progress to higher level apprenticeships or further study on completion. Kirklees College works with over 1,000 employers annually and trains apprentices across more than 30 occupational areas, including business and professional, computing and ICT, construction, engineering, health and social care, hospitality and catering, motor vehicle, process manufacturing, science, sport and fitness, teaching and other sectors. In addition to apprenticeships, the college offers an extensive portfolio of over 300 courses and T Levels, supporting organisations that want to attract new talent or upskill their workforce through cost‑effective, accredited training routes.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
